As the Boost awardee tribe is set to be directly apart of a revitalized downtown Baltimore. Tribe will deliver a sensory-rich experience where guests can eat, shop, connect, and engage in art and storytelling rooted in history and tradition.

About the Role:
The Manager is the anchor of Tribe’s daily operations. This person ensures the café runs smoothly, the team feels supported, and standards stay high across food, service, and culture. They balance business management with people skills — making sure the space is profitable, joyful, and aligned with Tribe’s mission as a cultural anchor.

What You’ll Do:

Oversee day-to-day café operations.
Lead, coach, and schedule staff.
Manage inventory, vendor orders, and supplier relationships.
Handle daily payouts, financial reporting, and POS oversight.
Uphold Tribe’s quality standards for food, drink, and service.
Jump in wherever needed — from making coffee to merchandising art.
Foster a culture of community, positivity, and accountability.
Assist with digital storytelling and community programming.

Qualifications:

2+ years of retail experience in hospitality, retail, or food service required.
Strong leadership, people management, and conflict-resolution skills.
Tech-savvy: POS, scheduling software, digital tools.
Highly organized, self-starter, strong time management.
Approachable, empathetic, and inspiring team leader.

Pay:

$25/hr

About the Role:
Our Line Cooks hold down the kitchen — where the flavor and quality of Tribe come to life. This is more than just food prep: it’s about consistency, care, and presentation. Tribe’s menu blends Caribbean and Southern American traditions, and we want every plate and cup to represent that story.

What You’ll Do:

Prepare, heat, and plate menu items with speed, precision, and consistency.
Maintain taste, quality, and aesthetics of every dish and drink.
Operate and clean kitchen equipment (rapid cookers, small appliances).
Wash dishes and keep a clean, organized back-of-house.
Maintain food inventory, assist with ordering, and reduce waste.
Use POS/food management systems to track production and supply levels.
Follow food safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in cooking, food prep, or a similar food industry role required.
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Tech-proficiency (POS, food inventory software).
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards under pressure.
Team player who communicates well with front-of-house.

$21.50/hr

About the Role:
Our Retail Associates are the heartbeat of Tribe’s daily rhythm. They handle the front-of-house experience with energy, warmth, and care. This role blends customer service, merchandising, and light creative work — making sure our space is beautiful, clean, and vibrant both in person and online.

What You’ll Do:

Greet every guest with Tribe’s signature warmth.
Run the register and handle POS transactions with accuracy and speed.
Act as a runner/busser: deliver orders, clear tables, reset spaces.
Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages with consistency and care.
Merchandising: refresh displays of art, packaged food, cosmetics, and boutique retail so that everything feels curated and intentional.
Capture photos and short clips for Tribe’s digital storytelling (social media, community updates).
Help keep the café clean, stocked, and inviting at all times.
Build authentic community connections — learn the story behind our makers and artists and share them naturally with guests.

Qualifications:

1+ year of customer service, retail, or food service experience preferred.
Tech-proficient (comfortable with POS systems, content capture, and basic social posting).
Great social skills — you love talking to people.
Dependable, organized, and team-oriented.

Pay:

$18/hr
